Fifteen days into NaNoWriMo 2019 and I’m still writing. I’m at 91,669 words and still going. I won, aka got to 50,000 words written, on 9 November, but I haven’t stopped writing.
I set my daily word goal at 5,000 words a day for this round of NaNoWriMo. The official daily word goal for NaNoWriMo is 1,667. So far, I’ve written at least 5,000 words every day since November 1st. November 9th was NaNoWriMo Double Your Word Count Day as well as NaNoWriMo Donation Day, where they gave you double rewards for your donation. I wrote over 10,000 words on November 9th, which means I can take Thanksgiving off, maybe.
November 9th was also my region’s Wandering Write-In, where we visit five locations between 9 am and 7 pm, and write for 90 minutes at each location, except we have 2 hours at our lunch location to allow for eating time. We give people 30 minutes to reach each destination.
This is our second Wandering Write-In. It was much better attended than the first one, which is not unusual. I enjoy it as different writers join for different locations and some of us are at all five write-ins. It makes for a very long day. I went home, planning to crash, but Henry wanted to go out to eat. I crashed after we got home from dinner.
I’m optimistic that I will reach my goal of getting over 150,000 words for this NaNoWriMo. As far as getting to “The End” on any of the three novels I’m writing this November, I’m not quite as optimistic, but I have hopes.
What are you writing this November?
